How can you offer this service for free?

We are developing the platform in our free time (see the About page to get to know us). We have a partnership with Microsoft that allows us to maintain the infrastructure very cost effectively. These are the two main prerequisites to offer the service for free to you.

Where is the catch?

There is no catch (at least in our opinion). Your data is safe with us and stays with us. We do not sell your data or any other type of insight to third parties. And since we all hate adds, there are also no adds.

Do you want to make money in the future?

Yes, at some point we aim to make money with the platform. How you might ask? There are several options for us, such as offering paid additional services and products on top of the core features (for example data export functions, travel insights, multi-profile for your family, etc.). We might also partner up with medical providers or pharmacies, from which we would collect a commission when you book an appointment with them.

Whats your long-term strategy?

Our vision is to contribute to the digitisation of the healthcare sector to enhance patient care while simultaneously lowering the overall cost burden. With EVACCS, we are taking the first concrete step towards this vision. Right now, our aim is to grow our platform with a strong user base to validate our idea. In the future, we want to enhance our product and services portfolio around personal health management.

Are you competing against the Electronic Patient Record (EPR)?

We are not competing against the EPR, but we are complementing it (at least thats how we see it). As of March 2024, the EPR is not mature enough to be of much practical use to their users (both patients and health professionals, see a recent news article). As an example, the EPR offers a vaccination module to digitally store vaccination data, but no additional insights (such as vaccination check) are offered (see eHealthSuisse). This is where EVACCS steps in: We not only offer a very simple process to digitise vaccinations (both manually and as a service), but we use this data to provide valuable additional insights on which the user can directly act on in the real world. This is the core of our philosophy – a digital service has to provide real practical value to the users. Only then can a more digitised health system be established in the long run.

We have developed our platform in line with the official semantic standards of the EPR (FHIR / HL7) , which allows us to seamlessly integrate our services with the EPR in the future. Our vision is that the EPR will some day become the secure golden source of data, while platforms such as EVACCS will consume such data to provide valuable offerings to the patients and users.

It is intended to supplement the physical vaccination pass and to empower the user with valuable insights into his/her vaccination status.
